Making Your Own Porn? Here Are Some Tips

You can sometimes get very annoyed with tube sites. Why? Because they advertise ‘Amateur’ flicks and then what you see are rip-offs from member sites showing some guys who, ok, may not be porn stars, but who are certainly not sharing their own homemade movies. They are professionally made scenes. So, I changed my approach this week and went looking for Homemade movies on some of the tubes. And this was the first one I found. It’s a homemade threesome clearly shot in someone’s sitting room.  

Watching it (at least the first half) made me think that there should be guidelines for making your own homemade porn, so here are a few I made up:  

• Get your lighting right. Back lighting produces silhouettes and that means we can't really see what’s going on.
• Make sure your TV is showing something suitable. Something like a gay porn flick, rather than the nightly news; that can be a bit distracting.
• Check that your sound is going to be recorded OK, it was in this case.
• Make sure you stay within your camera’ sightlines, that’s if you’re using a tripod and have a static cam.
• If using a static cam, do what these three guys did and move it from time to time. This gives us a different view and can make a good scene even better.
• Finally: enjoy it and we will enjoy it too.
