Sean Cody Now Serves Creampies!

    The last two sentences of your posting, Bradford, give me chills.

    Gay porn was LAST to start playing safe during the first few years of the AIDS crisis, and the fact that bareback continues to rise in prominence should be scaring the shit out of everyone.

    This should not be about “leading the way” — creampies in gay porn AREN’T new. Have you forgotten that Corbin Fisher has been doing them for a while now and even call them creampies? (Come on, Bradford — I know you pay attention, under this name or another.)

    Bareback is “the” thing now, and I wish with all my heart that all these men who do this aren’t going to be the next generation of Kurt Marshalls, Al Parkers, Matt Gunthers, etc. I REALLY don’t want to fire up my browser (or whatever I’m using in a few years) and read about who just died of AIDS, and the next day, and the next day and so on.

      I’m totally in agreement with everything here, and I know that barebacking is certainly not a new thing. What I failed to specify here was the rise of barebacking on mainstream paysites (not DVD-driven studios).

      Corbin Fisher undoubtedly started the barebacking trend of recent, and yes, they’ve been fucking with cum ever since, but to my knowledge, Corbin Fisher has only had one internal cumshot to date: Phillip and Kenny.

      Barebacking isn’t anything new, but you can’t deny there is a resurgence of it among newer pornstars working with newer studios.     There’s no point in blaming Sean Cody or any other porn studio for the rise in bearback porn. It’s the morons watching it that are to blame. No demand for it, no studios doing it. Simple as that. The bigger question is why are people so anxious to watch this stuff?

      Oh, please don’t get me wrong — I know the viewers drive the content. We can call it “condom fatigue” or “video fantasy” or whatever…people want to see it. But that doesn’t mean that there can’t be another push by a major studio to take a stand and say that they won’t do it. That it could cost them revenue hasn’t been forgotten by me.

      I’m just saying, we hear stories of how it was. People get tired of having to take that moment to find a condom, put it on, use lube, etc. Small things that were pushed incessantly by safe sex advocates, doctors, HIV clinics, etc in 80s and especially the 90s.

      They want to live in a time when HIV isn’t there. That’s my take on it. Unfortunately, HIV *is* here and no amount of drugs, “undetectable” or other stuff is going to stop it. :(

    That doesn’t make it better. What about the closeted kid in some small town who watches this porn and thinks that it’s okay? (I know — realistically, you hope the kid is smart enough to know it’s a Very Bad Thing [TM] to bareback, but I seem to encounter a LOT of those pseudo-clueless guys.)

    I don’t think you’re naive, but I don’t think you’re being realistic, either.
