The gay blogosphere is experiencing a 10.0 earthquake thanks to shirtless gay kissy-kissy photos of nobody actor Colton Haynes from a 2006 issue of now defunct fag rag XY. The guy is now on MTV's new show "Teen Wolf" and is getting his panties in a bunch over the photos, calling them "obscene, lewd and pornographic." However, what about the video of him schtupping a gal?
When the story of Haynes' shirtless-gay-kiss-for-a-paid-photospread past surfaced on DoorQ.com, the site was hit with a nasty letter from Haynes' lawyer demanding the photos get the ax. The attorney, a Bryan J. Freedman, is sending similar threatening letters to other blogs, and the photos are slowly being wiped clean from the interwebs as if they're mildew in a shower. Since DoorQ's site is exceeding bandwidth, and if you haven't read the letter, here's an excerpt:
I am contacting you regarding [doorQ.com's]…postings of multiple private, obscene, lewd and pornographic photographs of my client, privately taken…depicting my client… partially or possibly completely nude, engaging in or simulating sexual conduct, in most instances with other individuals....
Your public disclosure of these private photographs violate Hayne's privacy rights as such conduct qualifies as a (1) public disclosure (2) of a private fact (3) which would be of offensive and objectionable to the reasonable person. While we can only speculate as to where you received these private photographs from, rest assured that you posted them without Haynes' consent or knowledge…
As has been pointed out, the photos cannot possible be qualified as "pornography," since there is no nudity or sex, or "private," having been published in a very legal and widely sold magazine. Also, posting them is legal under Fair Use. Case seriously closed.
Once these photos vanish from the record of humanity and Colton Haynes is saved from being a Blind Item as a closet case, we'd still be free to look at a fully naked Haynes actually engaging in softcore, practically pornographic sex, but it'll be peachy keen, because it's with a woman. That means he's straight! Whew! Last year, Haynes filmed a scene (video here) for Showtime's series "Look." We bet Haynes' hot little hiney no one will object to these photos.
So, here we present an extensive gallery of the two sexy sides of Colton Haynes, one of which, right prior to his breakout role (stifling laughter) on "Teen Wolf," he's working overtime to cover up. Which set of photos do you feel most resemble the description in the lawyer's letter?
