Jesse Santana Jumps Ship, Rocks The Boat

Some of us might have had Issues with Jesse Santana's naïve attitude towards sex workers a while back, but we have to admit the kid is pretty savvy when it comes to keeping his finger on the pulse of today's porn consumer: by way of explaining his rather starling decision this week to sign with Cockyboys.com as an exclusive online-only performer instead of remaining affiliated with Jet Set Productions, he says he was influenced by a friend who asked him "When's the last time anyone of our generation bought a DVD?". (Which considering how much some studios are charging for their products these days--the price for a new gay DVD release is often two or even three times as much as a monthly membership to a pay site--is something we've found ourselves wondering about on more than one occasion too.)

Only time will tell whether Jesse's decision will have an effect on his fellow performers and the brick-and-mortar studio system as a whole, but in the meantime we wish him all the best in his new position.
