Aaron “Ajay” Savvy: The Next American Gladiator?

2008_01_31_ajay.jpgWe’re not terribly surprised to see MalePerfection.net star and personal trainer Aaron Savvy trying out in LA for the second season of “American Gladiators”; after all it’s not like his long-running gig as “Ajay” at Sean Cody didn’t already give him enough experience with having large objects thrust at his face. (Yes, we totally borrowed that joke from “Clueless”. Wanna make something of it?) We can only hope he aced his audition and that we get to see him grappling on some giant hanging platform with Alex “Militia” Castro, at which point the whole muscle porn/pop culture circuit will be complete. Fingers crossed!

    You know, I hope he makes it and his Sean Cody days don’t come back to haunt him. While it’s not an issue for us, I suspect mainstream meadia would not be ready for him. But PerezHilton.com well she’ll be the first to out him.

    @OOCMan: Well, but consider that Alex Castro’s already on the show [as Gladiator Militia] and nothing seems to have affected him so far. Do you really think that Alex/Ajay showing up as a contender is going to be a double whammy for both of them? Sure, people like Perez “Loser” Hilton are going to make it rough, but it largely depends on how the targets of Hilton’s gossip handle it that will determine if there is a backlash or not.

    @GayHawkaz. I have to think people are not as open minded as we all hope they would be. Remember, we’ve all heard the Tom, Vin, blah blah blah rumors. I don’t want this thread to become a “guess who” thread. I would just say they are obviously worried about getting outted.

    Having said that; he’s put his stuff out there and he’s obviously prepared for the outcome. If he were that afraid, he would not be out there.
