Jake Deckard: NakedSwordsman 2007

In a quiet ceremony high on a hillock today in San Francisco's Buena Vista Park, Jake Deckard was named the new NakedSwordsman of the Year by the critically acclaimed video-on-demand company. "I've waited my whole life for this moment!" Deckard did not say as he accepted the crown and scepter from last year's winner Owen Hawk, wiping away a tear and giggling softly. "Thanks so much for believing in me. I promise to do everything I can to show you I am worthy of this honor." Trailing fragrant clouds of baby's breath and white organza behind him, Deckard led a celebratory entourage down Market Street to a tea reception afterwards at the Powerhouse, where invited guests were expected to eat cucumber sandwiches and listen to popular music well into the evening. Congratulations, Jake—and long may you reign! (Well, at least until next year.)
