And as long as we're mentioning all things big and hairy today, it's worth reminding you that bears from around the world will be trekking to San Francisco this weekend for Grrrrr x2, the second annual Hairrison Street Fair. The event is billed as the world's only street fair for bears—and from the pictures we've seen of last year's party, there'l be enough fur around to clog the Bay. Bear aficionados will be happy to discover that last year's clothing optional pool party and assorted debauchery has been chronicled in a gallery of several hundred pics; let's hope our friend Bill of Bear in the City is already, er, hard at work taking more for this year's portfolio.- RM
